Multiple text layers
Add separate titles, subtitles, credits, dates and labels. Move, duplicate, reorder, hide or delete each layer independently.
Upload a picture, add movable text layers, customize fonts and effects, then download a high-quality PNG, JPG or WebP image.
Add captions, quotes, labels, names, meme text or a simple watermark.
Select a layer to edit or drag it on the preview.
Drag selected text on the canvas and review the exact composition.
Upload an image to open the live canvas and create editable text layers.
This focused photo text editor lets you write on pictures without opening complicated desktop design software. Create multiple movable text boxes, apply readable outlines or backgrounds, adjust spacing and rotation, and export the final image for social posts, announcements, product photos, memes, invitations, thumbnails or personal memories.
Add separate titles, subtitles, credits, dates and labels. Move, duplicate, reorder, hide or delete each layer independently.
Use an outline, shadow or semi-transparent background so words remain clear over bright, dark or visually busy photos.
Keep the source dimensions or create a smaller copy, then download PNG, JPG or WebP with a safe filename.
Move text directly with a mouse or finger, use nine quick positions, adjust percentage coordinates or nudge with the keyboard.
Control font, size, weight, italic style, uppercase, colour, opacity, alignment, letter spacing, line spacing and text-box width.
Undo recent edits, redo them, reset the tool and reuse it with another image without reloading the page.
Create a readable photo caption or text design in four practical steps.
Text overlays can explain, identify, promote or personalize a photo. Keep the most important words short and make them visually distinct from the background.
Add a location, date, short story, inspirational quote, travel caption or personal message to a photograph before sharing or printing it.
Use uppercase lettering, a bold font and a contrasting outline for readable meme-style text near the top or bottom of an image.
Create post headlines, story announcements, promotional messages, sale information, event dates and call-to-action text for online sharing.
Place a product name, price, feature, contact detail, website, brand message or simple text watermark on a listing or marketing image.
Add names to birthday photos, wedding pictures, graduation images, invitations, save-the-date graphics and family memories.
Use a short title with a readable background or outline to create blog headers, video thumbnails and illustrated article graphics.
Select a format based on transparency, visual quality, file size and where the finished image will be used.
| Format | Best for | Transparency | Practical note |
|---|---|---|---|
| PNG | Text-heavy graphics, screenshots, logos and transparent photos | Supported | Produces crisp output but may create a larger file for detailed photographs. |
| JPG | Regular photographs, social uploads and smaller files | Not supported | Transparent areas become white. Adjust quality when file size matters. |
| WebP | Modern websites, messaging and efficient photo delivery | Supported | Usually balances quality and size well, but some older workflows may prefer JPG or PNG. |
Move text away from faces, products, logos or other important details. Negative space such as sky, walls, water or a blurred background often provides the clearest location.
A headline that looks clear in a large editor may become too small on a phone or social feed. Check the downloaded image at the size where viewers will actually see it.
Your files are protected and safe; we never collect or share your data. This page uses no photo-upload endpoint: the selected image, text layers, preview and final export are handled in the browser.
The editor does not create a cloud project, public design page or account record. Download the finished image before closing the tab if you want to keep it.
The browser temporarily holds the selected image and generated canvas data in memory. Removing the photo, resetting or closing the page releases those resources where supported.
Text placed on an image becomes part of the exported pixels. Check names, addresses, phone numbers, school details and other personal information before posting publicly.
The editor is designed for current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari versions on desktop, Android, iPhone and iPad. Local file selection and download behaviour may differ by browser.
High-resolution images and original-size exports can consume substantial memory. A smaller output size or desktop browser is more reliable when a phone cannot complete the export.
The listed font stacks use common system typefaces. The browser may substitute a similar font when the first choice is unavailable.
New layers remain editable inside this session, but words already baked into the uploaded image are ordinary pixels and cannot be directly selected by this tool.
Choose a genuine PNG, JPEG or WebP image. Empty files, renamed unsupported files and corrupted image data cannot be opened.
Use a quick position button, adjust X and Y, reduce the text-box width or drag the selected layer back toward the centre.
Download at Original size, avoid enlarging a small source image and review the exported file at its natural dimensions.
Enable a contrasting outline, shadow or background, or move the text to an area with less visual detail.
Choose 75 or 50 percent output, close other tabs, remove unnecessary layers or retry in a desktop browser.
Some browsers do not permit writing images to the clipboard. Use Download Image instead.

Upload a PNG, JPG or WebP image, select the first text layer, type your words, customize the style and drag the text directly on the photo. Add more text layers when needed, then download the finished image as PNG, JPG or WebP.
Yes. The editor runs in a current web browser, so no desktop application or mobile app installation is required.
Yes. Use Add Text Layer to create multiple independent text boxes. Each layer can have its own font, size, colour, position, rotation, outline, background and shadow.
Yes. Select a text layer and drag it across the live canvas. Keyboard users can focus the canvas and use the arrow keys to move the selected layer, with Shift for larger steps.
Yes. The same text-layer controls can create photo captions, quotes, labels, meme-style text, promotional messages, dates, names, credits and simple text watermarks.
The tool accepts genuine PNG, JPEG and WebP image files. It validates the file type and basic file signature before displaying the image.
You can download the edited photo as PNG, JPG or WebP. PNG is useful for transparency and crisp graphics, while JPG and WebP can create smaller photographic files with adjustable quality.
Yes when Original size is selected. You can also export at 75 percent, 50 percent or a custom width while preserving the image aspect ratio.
Yes. PNG export preserves transparent areas. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are placed over a white background.
Yes. Enable Text outline, choose an outline colour and adjust its width. A contrasting outline is useful when the image contains both light and dark areas.
Yes. Enable Text background and adjust its colour, opacity, padding and corner rounding to create labels, lower-thirds and readable caption boxes.
Yes. Enable Text shadow, then control the colour, blur and horizontal or vertical offset. Use a subtle shadow for readability without making the design look heavy.
Yes. Each layer has its own rotation control. You can also use quick position buttons and precise X and Y controls.
Yes. Text can wrap across multiple lines, and the canvas can render characters supported by the fonts installed on your device, including many international scripts and emoji.
Yes. The editor keeps a recent local history of layer changes, including text styling, movement, duplication and deletion.
No page-specific upload or processing endpoint is used. The selected image, text layers, preview and exported file are processed in your browser.
The tool uses fonts available through the browser and operating system. A font that is not installed may fall back to a similar system font, so review the final downloaded image on the device where you create it.
Try a contrasting text colour, enable an outline or shadow, add a semi-transparent background, increase the font size or move the text into an area with less visual detail.
Large images require substantial browser memory, especially on phones. Export at 75 or 50 percent, close other memory-heavy tabs or use a desktop browser.
Yes in current mobile browsers that support local file selection, canvas rendering and file downloads. Download behaviour can vary slightly by device and browser settings.
No. The tool exports only the original photo and the text layers you create.
This tool adds new editable text layers over an image. It does not automatically detect, remove or replace text that is already part of the original image pixels.
