Troubleshooting image upscaling

The AI model does not start
AI mode requires an internet connection the first time so the pinned browser runtime and model can download. Check content blockers, network restrictions and browser privacy settings, then try again. Fast enlarge does not require the AI model.
The browser reports insufficient memory
Choose 2× instead of 4×, close memory-heavy tabs, or use a desktop browser. The tool checks output dimensions before allocating the final canvas and stops rather than generating a blank or corrupt image.
The result looks too smooth or artificial
Try Fast enlarge for screenshots, logos and sharp graphics. AI mode is designed mainly for real-world photographs and can reconstruct texture that is not suitable for every source.
The image cannot be opened
Use a genuine JPG, PNG or WebP file. Changing an unsupported file extension to .jpg does not convert the image. Open it in an image editor and export a standard format before trying again.

What does an AI image upscaler do?

Can I upscale an image by 2× or 4×?
Yes. Select 2× to double both dimensions or 4× to quadruple them. Because width and height both increase, a 4× output contains sixteen times as many pixels as the source.
Which image formats are supported?
The input accepts genuine JPG, PNG and WebP images. Results can be downloaded as PNG or high-quality JPG. PNG is recommended when the source contains transparency.
Does the image leave my device?
The selected image is decoded and processed inside your browser and is not uploaded to CorrectionCopy. AI mode separately downloads public runtime and model files required for local inference.
Why can the first AI upscale take longer?
The browser must download and initialize the AI runtime and model before processing. These files are usually cached by the browser, although the cache can be cleared or evicted.
Is AI mode always better than Fast mode?
No. AI mode is usually better for soft or compressed photos, while Fast mode may retain hard edges and small interface text more faithfully in screenshots, diagrams and logos.
Will upscaling make every blurry photo sharp?
No. It can improve apparent sharpness and reduce some compression artefacts, but severe motion blur, missed focus and unreadable details cannot be recovered reliably.
Can I use the tool on a phone or tablet?
Yes, but large 4× outputs require much more memory. For lower-memory mobile devices, 2× or Fast mode is the safer starting point.
Does the downloaded image include a watermark?
No watermark is added to the image. The downloaded PNG or JPG contains only the upscaled result, with no visible branding placed on the pixels.
Why does JPG lose transparency?
The JPEG format does not support transparent pixels. When downloading JPG, transparent areas are placed on a white background. Choose PNG to preserve transparency.
