This two-way converter is designed for scanned records, archival image exchange, print workflows and document imaging. PDF to TIFF renders fixed-layout pages at a chosen resolution and writes either one multi-page TIFF or separate page TIFF files. Generated TIFF files use standard RGB or grayscale samples with uncompressed or PackBits storage. Some basic viewers show only the first page of a multi-page TIFF.
TIFF to PDF creates image-based pages. It does not reconstruct OCR text, vector objects, layers or editable layout from the source pixels.
Doubling DPI produces roughly four times the pixels. Long 300 DPI color jobs can exceed mobile memory even when the input file itself is small.
Your files are protected and safe; we never collect or share your data through this tool. PDF and TIFF bytes are read in browser memory, and generated TIFF, ZIP, PDF and report files are produced locally. No page-specific account, database, temporary server directory or permanent file storage is used. Reset releases source data, canvases, output blobs and temporary URLs.
Confirm that the file is standard TIFF rather than BigTIFF and try a desktop image editor when the source uses unusual private tags, tiling or compression.
Reduce PDF DPI, convert fewer pages, use grayscale, close other tabs or move the job to a desktop browser with more available memory.

The tool can write uncompressed TIFF data or PackBits lossless compression. PackBits can reduce repetitive scanned-document data without changing pixels.
150 DPI is a practical default for screen viewing and many documents. Use 200 or 300 DPI for printing or detailed scans, understanding that memory use and output size increase quickly.
Higher DPI renders vector and text content into more pixels, but it cannot restore detail missing from low-resolution images already embedded in the PDF.
No. TIFF is an image format, so PDF pages are rasterized and text becomes pixels.
Yes. Match image size creates each PDF page from the image pixel dimensions and detected or entered DPI, subject to safe PDF page-size limits.
Yes. Select A4, Letter, Legal, A3 or A5, then choose automatic, portrait or landscape orientation and set the page margin.
Contain fits the whole TIFF page inside the PDF margin and can leave blank space. Cover fills the printable area and may crop image edges.
Choose lossless image embedding to preserve rendered pixels. The PDF may be substantially larger than one created with the smaller JPEG option.
No. TIFF pages are raster images. The resulting PDF contains page images rather than reconstructed editable text or layers.
Readable transparency is flattened against the chosen white or black background because standard PDF page images and broad TIFF compatibility are more reliable without transparent page edges.
Many CMYK and other TIFF variants can be decoded, but TIFF is highly extensible. Unsupported compression, color spaces, tiled data or private tags can still cause a file to fail.
No. BigTIFF uses a different 64-bit file structure and is rejected. Standard little-endian or big-endian TIFF files are accepted when their compression and image data can be decoded.
The image pixels may decode, but geographic tags are not preserved in PDF output and newly generated TIFF files do not include GeoTIFF metadata.
The TIFF reader supports many common TIFF compression types, including several fax-oriented variants, but unusual or damaged files may not decode.
Yes. Use the page controls in the preview to inspect PDF pages or decoded TIFF frames before conversion.
Yes. Use the up and down controls in the TIFF file list. Pages inside each multi-page TIFF remain together and keep their internal order.

The page accepts PDFs up to 100 MB. Actual success depends on page dimensions, selected DPI, page count and available browser memory.
You can select up to 20 TIFF files with a combined size of 150 MB. Very large dimensions or hundreds of pages can exceed browser memory before those file limits.
Pixel count grows with the square of the resolution. A 300 DPI page has four times as many pixels as the same page at 150 DPI.
Uncompressed TIFF stores the page sample bytes directly. Color pages require roughly three bytes per pixel before file structure overhead.
TIFF can contain multiple image directories, but some basic viewers display only the first one. Use the separate-pages ZIP option for maximum compatibility.
The source TIFF may use specialized compression. Re-embedding decoded pages as lossless PNG-style images or high-quality JPEG images can produce a different file size.
No. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are rejected. Unlock the PDF with authorization before conversion.
No page-specific upload endpoint receives the selected PDF or TIFF files. Input bytes, previews and generated outputs remain in the current browser session.
No. The browser downloads pinned processing code, but the tool does not send the selected document bytes to those delivery services.
No. Temporary blobs and previews are created only in browser memory and are released when you reset, replace files, navigate away or close the page.
Yes. The interface is responsive and touch-friendly. High-DPI multi-page work is better suited to devices with more memory.
Current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari releases are expected to support the required file, canvas and download features. Content blockers can prevent the pinned processing components from loading.
Yes. Press Cancel while pages are rendering or files are being assembled. The tool stops at the next safe processing point and restores the controls.
