How the random six-sided dice engine works

Each virtual die needs an equal software probability for the values 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. The rebuilt engine gets unsigned random values from the browser and uses rejection sampling before mapping them to a d6 face. This avoids the small bias that can occur when an arbitrary integer range is reduced with a simple modulo operation.

Independent rolls

Every die is generated independently. Previous rolls do not make a particular face more or less likely on the next roll.

Random does not mean evenly alternating

Repeated numbers, streaks and unusual totals are normal in short random sequences. Fairness means equal probability before the roll, not forced visual balance afterward.

Is the dice result random?

The rebuilt roller uses the browser Crypto.getRandomValues API with rejection sampling so each face from 1 through 6 receives the same software probability. It is cryptographically strong pseudorandomness supplied by the browser rather than a physical random process.

Why can I get the same number several times in a row?

Independent random rolls can naturally produce repeated values and streaks. A fair random process does not force all six faces to appear evenly in a short session.

Yes. Reset clears the current dice result and the local session-roll count, then restores the default two-dice selection.
