This free Word to PDF converter rebuilds your .docx file as a real PDF — right in your browser. It reads every paragraph, heading, list, table and image, lays it out at the exact pixel width of the page size and margins you choose, then renders it at high resolution so fonts, sizes, bold and italic, colors, alignment and spacing all come through the way they looked in Word. Page breaks are snapped to the nearest blank line, so a paragraph is never awkwardly sliced in half between pages.
You are fully in control of the output: choose A4, US Letter or US Legal, portrait or landscape, one of Word's own margin presets or your own custom margins in millimetres, and add automatic page numbers in any corner with a starting number and format of your choice. A render quality setting balances sharpness against file size, and an optional searchable text layer is added on top of the page images so you can still search and select text in the finished PDF.
Because the entire conversion — reading the .docx, laying it out and generating the PDF — happens on your own device, contracts, resumes, invoices and private documents are never uploaded anywhere. Whether you call it convert Word to PDF online, DOCX to PDF, export Word to PDF or change Word to PDF, the result is the same: a clean, accurate PDF with no email, no signup, no watermark and no page limit.

Yes, very closely. The converter lays out your content using Word's own default fonts, heading sizes and colors, then renders it at high resolution at the exact width of your chosen page and margins. If your document uses an unusual custom font that is not available in the browser, a close standard substitute is used instead, which can occasionally shift where lines wrap.
This tool works with modern .docx files. Older .doc files use a different, legacy binary format - open the file in Word, use File then Save As, choose Word Document (.docx), and upload that instead.
Yes. Pick A4, US Letter or Legal, portrait or landscape, one of Word's own margin presets or your own custom margins, and turn on page numbers in any corner with a chosen format and starting number.
With the searchable text layer switched on (the default), yes - an invisible layer of text is placed over each page image so most PDF readers can search and select it. Positioning is best-effort and works best for Latin-script languages; the visible page image itself is always fully accurate regardless of language.
The tool automatically paginates your content to fit the page size you choose, snapping each break to the nearest blank line so text is never cut mid-sentence. Manual page breaks and section breaks from the original file are not carried over as forced breaks.
No. Reading the .docx, laying it out and generating the PDF all happen on your own device using JavaScript. Nothing about your document leaves your browser.
No hard limit. Because everything runs locally, very large or image-heavy documents simply take longer, depending on your device. Choosing Standard render quality speeds things up for long documents.
