Visual detail depends on render scale and image encoding. PNG preserves sharp edges and transparency; JPEG can reduce file size. Adaptive rendering retries at smaller scales when the browser cannot allocate the requested canvas.
Your files are protected and safe; we never collect or share your data. This page has no file-upload endpoint. Source bytes, extracted text, page images and generated files stay in the current browser session.
Current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari releases support local files, canvas rendering, SVG, Blob downloads and ZIP generation. Content blockers can prevent the pinned processing code from loading.
PDF pages may contain fonts, masks, patterns, images, transparency and proprietary drawing structures. Visual and hybrid modes therefore use a mixed raster/SVG approach for reliable appearance.
Text-only output depends on the PDF text layer and available fonts. Scans need OCR, and complex writing systems, rotated text or unusual glyph spacing may need manual correction.
No artificial user limit is imposed. When memory is constrained, lower the scale, use JPEG, convert a smaller range at a time or close other tabs. The report records adaptive scale reductions and failed pages.

Yes. Every output is a valid XML-based SVG document. Visual and hybrid modes embed a rendered page image inside the SVG, while text-only mode creates positioned SVG text elements without the page image.
No. Arbitrary PDFs can contain embedded fonts, transparency groups, masks, patterns, blend modes, images and drawing instructions that cannot be reconstructed reliably as simple editable SVG paths in a browser. The tool labels each output mode honestly.
Accurate visual SVG normally preserves the page appearance best because it places a rendered page image inside an SVG container.
Hybrid mode combines the rendered page image with an additional positioned SVG text layer. The page still looks like the PDF, while text selection and search may work in compatible viewers.
Text-only mode exports positioned SVG text objects without the rendered page image. It is useful when editable text matters more than preserving drawings, photographs, charts or complex effects.
Yes. Enter all or page ranges such as 1-5,8,12-15. Duplicate page numbers are removed while the order you enter is retained.
A single selected page downloads as one SVG by default. Multiple pages are packaged in a ZIP archive containing one numbered SVG file per page.

Hybrid and text-only modes create an SVG text layer from the PDF text content when one exists. Font substitution, unusual encodings and complex writing systems can affect placement and selection.
Not automatically. A scanned PDF normally contains page images rather than a text layer. OCR is required before selectable text can be produced.

Yes. Transparent output is available when the PDF page itself does not paint an opaque background. Many PDF pages already contain a white page rectangle, so transparency may not be visible.

A scale around 2× is suitable for most screen and design workflows. Higher scales improve raster detail but increase output size, conversion time and browser memory use.
No artificial file-size or page-count limit is imposed. The practical limit depends on the browser, available memory, page complexity, selected scale and number of pages.
The converter automatically retries the page at progressively smaller scales and records the actual scale in the conversion report instead of rejecting the whole file immediately.
Yes. Enable Preserve safe page links. Supported web, email and telephone links are added as transparent clickable regions in the generated SVG.
Yes. PNG is lossless and supports transparency. JPEG usually creates smaller visual SVG files but does not support transparency.
An SVG can embed a high-resolution raster page image. Detailed pages, PNG encoding and high render scales can therefore create large files even though the container extension is .svg.
Yes. Current browsers can display standalone SVG files. Some document or design applications may handle embedded images, text layers and links differently.
Usually yes, but editability depends on the output mode and the application. Text-only mode exposes text objects; visual mode mainly contains one embedded page image.
The rendered image in visual and hybrid modes preserves font appearance. Text-only SVG relies on available system fonts and therefore may substitute unavailable PDF fonts.
The rendered appearance may include visible annotation appearances, but interactive forms, comments, pop-ups, signatures and document behavior are not recreated as interactive SVG features.
No. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs must be unlocked with authorization before conversion.
No page-specific upload endpoint receives the PDF. The source file, page rendering, text extraction and generated outputs remain in the current browser session.
No. The browser downloads pinned processing code, but the tool does not send the selected PDF bytes or extracted page content to those delivery services.
No. Temporary canvases, strings, blobs and object URLs are created only in browser memory and are released during reset or page navigation.
Yes. The interface is responsive and touch-friendly. Large PDFs or high-resolution multi-page conversions are more reliable on devices with more available memory.

PDF text is stored as positioned glyph runs rather than normal web paragraphs. Font metrics, character spacing, rotation, vertical writing and substituted fonts can cause differences.
Yes. The JSON report records the source, selected pages, requested settings, actual render scale, generated filenames, failures and warnings.
