UPI payment link format

Build a scannable payment request with the payee address, name, INR amount, note and optional merchant references.

Premium-style QR patterns

Choose square, rounded, dotted, classy and extra-rounded modules with custom eye shapes and overall square or circular layout.

Logo in the centre

Upload a brand mark or use a built-in payment symbol, with adjustable size, clear margin and error correction.

Transparent PNG output

Download a QR without a background for placement on posters, menus, invoices, websites, social graphics and print layouts.

Branded payment frames

Add a simple, rounded, badge or ticket frame with editable call-to-action text and matching brand colours.

High-resolution downloads

Choose the output dimensions for sharp PNG or JPG files while the interface handles export errors and device-memory limits safely.

UPI QR use cases, design quality and payment safety

Personal and small-business uses

  • Receive open-amount personal payments
  • Add a fixed amount for an invoice or order
  • Display a merchant QR at a counter or stall
  • Place a payment QR on a menu, poster or receipt
  • Create branded donation or event payment cards

Static QR limitations

  • The QR does not verify the receiving UPI account.
  • It does not confirm, track or reconcile payments.
  • Optional fields may be handled differently by payment apps.
  • A payer screenshot is not proof that funds were received.
  • Use bank or UPI-app records for final confirmation.

Design for reliable scanning

Keep strong contrast between modules and background, preserve a quiet margin, avoid covering too much of the QR with a logo, and use high error correction for branded codes. Always scan the downloaded image from multiple devices before printing large quantities.

Privacy and safe payment checks

Your files are protected and safe; we never collect or share your data. The QR and uploaded logo are prepared in the browser. Anyone who sees the finished QR may read its payment request, so avoid confidential notes. Payers should verify the receiver name inside the UPI app before entering a PIN.

Troubleshooting UPI QR scanning and downloads

The preview does not appear

Check that the UPI ID contains a valid handle after the @ symbol and that a payee name is entered. Reload once if the QR component was blocked by the network.

The QR opens the wrong receiver

Stop using the code, verify every character of the UPI ID, regenerate it, and confirm the receiver name shown by the payment app before authorising any payment.

A logo makes scanning fail

Reduce the logo size, enable cleared modules behind it, select high error correction, increase the margin and use darker module colours.

Transparent PNG looks dark

Some image viewers display transparency over a dark checkerboard. Place the downloaded PNG on the intended design background and scan-test the combined result.

JPG has a solid background

JPG cannot store transparent pixels. Use PNG for transparency or choose a suitable solid QR and frame background before downloading JPG.

Large export fails on mobile

Lower the output width, close memory-heavy tabs, remove an unusually large logo and retry. The tool has no artificial export cap, but browser canvas memory is finite.

Frequently asked questions about UPI payment QR codes

Practical answers about payment details, merchant QR designs, transparent downloads, compatibility, privacy and scan reliability.

What is a UPI Payment QR Generator?

A UPI Payment QR Generator creates a scannable QR code containing a UPI payment request. The code can include a UPI ID, payee name, amount, note and optional reference information so a compatible UPI app can prepare the payment screen.

How do I create a UPI QR code online?

Enter the receiving UPI ID and payee name, optionally add an amount and payment note, customize the QR design, then download the result as PNG or JPG. Test the finished QR with a UPI app before sharing or printing it.

Can I create a UPI QR code without a fixed amount?

Yes. Leave the amount field empty to create an open-amount QR code. The person scanning it can enter the payment amount in the UPI app, subject to that app’s behavior and payment rules.

Can I add my business logo in the middle of the QR code?

Yes. You can upload a logo or choose a built-in centre symbol. Use high error correction, keep the logo reasonably small and test the final code because an oversized or low-contrast logo can reduce scan reliability.

Can I download a UPI QR code with a transparent background?

Yes. Enable transparent background and download PNG. PNG preserves transparency. JPG does not support transparent pixels, so JPG downloads use a solid background.

Which image formats can I download?

The generator provides PNG and JPG downloads. PNG is suitable for transparent backgrounds and digital design work, while JPG is useful for standard sharing and printing on a solid background.

Does the tool verify that a UPI ID exists?

No. The tool checks the basic UPI ID format but cannot verify account ownership, bank status or whether the address can receive payments. Confirm the UPI ID independently and test with a small payment when appropriate.

Does creating a QR code collect or receive money?

No. The generator only creates a payment request QR image. It does not process money, access a bank account, confirm payment, issue a receipt or track transaction status. Payment happens inside the payer’s UPI app.

Will the QR code work with every UPI app?

The QR contains a standard UPI payment link. Compatible UPI apps can usually read the main payee and amount information, but optional fields and visual scanning performance may vary by app, camera, device and printed material.

Can I make a merchant UPI QR code?

Yes. Add the merchant or business UPI ID, payee name, optional merchant category code, reference number, transaction note, logo and branded frame. This creates a static QR request and does not replace merchant onboarding, settlement reports or payment verification services.

What is the difference between a static UPI QR and a dynamic payment QR?

A static QR normally keeps the same payment address and may omit the amount. A dynamic payment QR is usually created per order with transaction data and is commonly connected to a payment service that verifies status. This tool creates a self-contained static payment request and does not provide server-side tracking.

Why is my customized QR code difficult to scan?

Low contrast, very light colours, an oversized logo, insufficient quiet space, extreme dot shapes, glossy printing or a small output can make scanning harder. Use a dark foreground, light background, adequate margin and high error correction, then test on several phones.

Is it safe to put a UPI ID in a QR code?

A payment QR is designed to share receiving information, so anyone who can see or scan it may read the embedded payment request. Do not add confidential notes or private data. Always verify the payee name shown by the UPI app before authorising a payment.

Are my UPI details or logo uploaded?

The payment data and logo are processed in the browser for QR creation and image export. CorrectionCopy does not store the generated QR or the entered payment details. The page loads the QR rendering component from a delivery network, but this tool does not send your entered UPI data to that resource.

Can I use the generator on Android, iPhone, tablet or computer?

Yes. The interface is responsive for current mobile and desktop browsers. Opening the UPI payment link is most useful on a device with a compatible UPI app, while QR design and downloads can also be completed on a computer.

Is there a QR generation or download limit?

CorrectionCopy does not impose an artificial generation or download limit. Very large output dimensions, very large uploaded logos or repeated high-resolution exports can still be limited by the memory and canvas capabilities of the browser or device.

What should I do before displaying a UPI QR in a shop?

Confirm the UPI ID and payee name, scan the final downloaded image from more than one device, test a small payment, keep the QR clean and well lit, and use an independent payment notification or statement to confirm receipt. Never rely only on a payer’s screenshot.

Can the generator track scans or payment status?

No. The generated QR is a direct static payment request without analytics, redirects or payment callbacks. Use your UPI app, bank statement or authorised payment provider to check whether a payment was actually received.
