A crop tool built for both PDFs and photos

This free PDF and image cropper works entirely in your browser and covers both quick trims and tricky, tilted originals. Drag the eight-point rectangle to trim margins, remove borders, or cut a page down to size — snap to 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, A4, US Letter and other common ratios, or type exact X, Y, width and height in pixels for pixel-perfect control. Every PDF page can be cropped the same way in one pass, or you can crop a single page while leaving the rest of the document untouched.

Not every original is perfectly square to the camera. Photographed pages, receipts and whiteboard shots are often skewed, so this tool also includes a genuine 4-point perspective crop: drag each corner onto the edge of the document and the tool warps it back into a clean, straight rectangle — the same idea used by dedicated document-scanning apps. For scans that are only slightly crooked, the straighten slider nudges the angle a fraction of a degree at a time until every line is level, and one-click rotate and flip controls fix sideways or mirrored pages.

Whether you are searching for a PDF cropper, an image cropper, a way to deskew a scanned document, or simply need to trim PDF margins before printing, the result here is a clean, correctly-oriented file without adding a watermark or imposing an artificial local-processing limit. Once your file is cropped, open PDF Editor to continue editing, Compress PDF Files to reduce the result, or Rotate PDF Pages for rotation-only work.

Crop scanned documents, PDF margins and photos accurately

Use one browser-based workspace for perspective document cropping, precise PDF page trimming and image resizing without sending the source file to a page-specific upload endpoint.

Perspective Crop is the default because it is the most useful choice for a photographed document. Move the four corner points around a receipt, invoice, certificate, ID card, passport copy, book page, application form, classroom note or whiteboard photo. Selecting Apply Crop corrects the camera angle, removes the surrounding desk or background and immediately replaces the live canvas with a preview of the straightened result.

Switch to Rectangle Crop when the page is already straight and you only need to trim PDF margins, remove scanner shadows, cut out a shipping label, crop one PDF page, apply the same crop to every page, or crop a JPG, PNG or WebP image to exact pixel dimensions. Free, original, 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, A4 and US Letter ratios make the same online image cropper useful for profile pictures, product photos, blog images, thumbnails, print documents and forms.

The tool also works as a PDF deskew and resize utility. Rotate sideways pages, flip mirrored scans, fine-tune a tilted line with the straighten slider, and optionally resize the cropped output while locking its aspect ratio. Rectangle-only PDF cropping can preserve original vectors and selectable text; perspective correction and other visual transforms create a high-resolution image-based PDF at the selected DPI.

Troubleshooting

Common causes of preview, crop and download problems.

My PDF does not open.

Confirm that it is a genuine PDF. Unlock password-protected documents and download incomplete or damaged files again.

The selected image is rejected.

The file signature must match JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP or AVIF. Convert HEIC, HEIF, SVG or another unsupported format first.

The perspective result looks distorted.

Place each corner on the matching physical document corner and do not cross the polygon edges. Reset the points and try again when needed.

The cropped PDF became image-based.

Perspective, rotation, flipping, fine straightening and pixel resizing require rendered output. Use a plain rectangle crop to preserve original PDF content.

The result is not sharp enough.

Select High 300 DPI for transformed PDF pages, increase JPEG or WebP quality, or export a cropped image as lossless PNG.

The browser becomes slow on a large file.

Close memory-heavy tabs, crop one PDF page when possible, or choose Balanced or Fast PDF quality. Large scans and perspective warps use more memory.

The download does not start.

Allow downloads for CorrectionCopy, confirm free device storage and select the labelled download button again.

A content blocker stops PDF processing.

The pinned PDF components load after a PDF is selected. Allow the dependency host for this page or retry without restrictive script blocking.

Crop PDF and image FAQ

Add your PDF, drag the crop rectangle (or switch to Perspective mode for a skewed page), then select Apply Crop, review the cropped-result preview and download. There is no account, watermark or artificial page-count limit.

Yes. Switch to Perspective Crop and drag each of the four corner handles onto the edges of the document in the photo. The tool warps the skewed shape back into a straight rectangle, similar to a dedicated document scanner app.

A rectangle-only PDF crop preserves the original page content, including selectable text and vectors. Rotation, flipping, straightening, perspective correction or pixel resizing requires raster output, so the result becomes image-based at the selected PDF quality.

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and browser-supported AVIF images can be opened. GIF input uses the browser-decoded first frame, and cropped images export as JPEG, PNG or WebP.

Yes. Use the page strip to select a page, choose "This page only" under Apply to, then crop. Every other page is kept exactly as it was in your original file.

Yes. Use the Straighten slider to rotate by a fraction of a degree until the page lines up, then adjust the crop rectangle to trim only the small sliver of background the rotation reveals at the edges.

No. Cropping, rotating, straightening and the perspective correction all run locally in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing about your file is sent anywhere.

No hard limit. Because everything runs locally, very large or image-heavy files simply take longer, depending on your device.

Yes. Undo and Redo cover crop coordinates, crop mode, perspective corners, rotation, flips, straightening, resizing and output settings.

Yes. The workspace supports touch controls and responsive layouts. Exact numeric crop fields provide an alternative to dragging small handles.
